Since 2013, as general secretary of International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN), Mr. John Zhang has been committed to promote international technology cooperation, science and technology achievements commercialization, technology cooperation personnel training and the construction of relevant body of knowledge. Under his lead, ITTN has established a huge cross-border technology cooperation network with 856 institutions in 40 countries and undertaken more than 30 special programs of inter-governmental international technology transfer cooperation platforms such as BRIC Technology Transfer Center, China-Italy Technology Transfer Center, commissioned by authorities like Ministry of Science and Technology. Every year, more than 3000 overseas innovative technology projects are carried out during the period. In addition, ITTN has become one of the national level international technology cooperation center which identified by Ministry of Science and Technology in 2018. In 2016, Mr. John Zhang was responsible for the establishment of the International Technology Transfer Committee of China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation (CAISTC), also the national training and certification system for “China International Technology Transfer Professional”. Over 50 sessions are organized among 30 cities at home and abroad, with more than 7,000 students and nearly 200 Chinese and foreign lecturers participating in the courses. In 2019, Mr. John Zhang was appointed as member of Academic Committee, member of Standardization Committee of China Research Association of Science and Technology Evaluation and Achievement Management, member of National Technical Committee 580 on Science and Evaluation of SAC(SAC/TC580) and in 2020, invited to be the member of the Editing Group of The Guide to Commercialization of Scientific and Technological Achievements, and member of the Expert Group of the National Demonstration Zone for Commercialization of Science and Technology Achievements. Meanwhile, as Standing Director of China Society for Research on International Exchange and Personnel Development, he was deeply involved in the service of foreign experts and the introduction of overseas intelligence. During 2017-2019, as Product Owner, Mr. John Zhang has twice applied for the APEC official fund project. In 2020, he was entrusted by the International Science and Technology Exchange Center of China Association for Science and Technology to compile the International Technology Transaction Should Know and Should Meet, led the research team to complete the project Research on Medium and Long-term Expansion of Channels and Methods of International Diversified Technology Supply entrusted by the Research Center for Foreign Talents of the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2021, Mr. John Zhang was hired as the external tutor of School of Trade Negotiation, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.
