Bridge Over the Strait of Messina: Board of Directors Appointed

Steps forward were made for a great Italian project. This is about the bridge across the Strait of Messina, about huge investments (from 13 to 15 billion euros), which the Meloni government is actively promoting.

In the past few hours, the shareholders’ meeting of Stretto di Messina has appointed a new board of directors. Pietro Cucci is the managing director, and Giuseppe Recchi is named as president, while the board of directors will consist of Eleonora Mariani, Ida Nicotra, and Giacomo Francesco Saccomanno.

Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Matteo Salvini called the appointment of senior management “a step of fundamental importance to carry out extraordinary work around the world decades later. The new company is a mixture of experience, innovation, and competence.”
