Chinese Premier Li Qiang: “China and the United Arab Emirates should develop new points of economic growth in their relationship”
Following the visit to Saudi Arabia, Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he was received by President, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. “Over the past 40 years, the United Arab Emirates has been committed to building deep and comprehensive cooperation with China to achieve sustainable growth, development, and prosperity for the people of the two countries,” President Mohammed bin Zayed stressed, according to whom the talks with the Chinese premier allowed for a full analysis of “joint efforts to further strengthen the global strategic partnership between China and the Emirates.”
For his part, Li said that “the friendship between the two countries has strengthened and continues to flourish” since diplomatic relations were established 40 years ago. “Both countries maintain close communication and coordination on multilateral platforms, constantly promoting peace, stability, prosperity, and development of the region and the world at large,” Li said, emphasizing that “China is willing to further expand the scope of cooperation, bilateral trade with the UAE, and explore cooperation in new energy, electric vehicles, high-tech manufacturing, biomedicine, digital economy, and other fields.”
Li also called for “developing new points of economic growth in bilateral relations.” The United Arab Emirates is the second and final stop on the Premier’s four-day trip to the Middle East on September 10. During his first stop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Li chaired the fourth meeting of the China-Saudi Joint High-Level Committee.
