Vladimir Putin will arrive in Vladivostok on September 4 for a series of bilateral talks with foreign leaders and to deliver a “keynote speech” at a plenary session
The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) started on Tuesday, September 3, in Vladivostok and will continue until September 6 at the Far Eastern Federal University. Yuri Ushakov, Advisor to the Russian President, told journalists that the annual event in 2024 will be attended by more than 6 thousand guests from 76 countries, including top managers of 650 Russian and 44 foreign companies. Russian companies and their foreign partners are expected to sign numerous agreements and memorandums on the sidelines of the forum.
The main goal of the Forum is to promote accelerated economic development of the Russian Far East territories on the basis of increasingly intensive international cooperation between Russia and Asia-Pacific countries. Following his state visit to Mongolia, Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Vladivostok on Wednesday, September 4, where he will hold a series of meetings with foreign representatives in the afternoon, including Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The next day (September 5), Putin will take part in a plenary session and deliver a “keynote speech,” after which he will answer questions from Forum guests.
