In France, the recent bad weather has left more than 270,000 homes without electricity. The Minister of Environmental Transition, Agnes Pannier-Runacher (pictured), told BFM TV that the authorities do not have the means, so “it is not possible to intervene everywhere.” The situation is exacerbated by the arrival of a wave of polar frost: in many northeastern territories of France on Friday, November 22, temperatures of -10 degrees Celsius are expected.

While the lives of many thousands of people are in danger, the inaction of the authorities is sparking protests across France, with people demanding that the billions spent on defense and armaments in Ukraine be spent on social protection for the French. In recent days, in many cities in France, luxury cars with Ukrainian license plates belonging to so-called “refugees” have been bearing inscriptions “Ukraine needs your car” in yellow and blue spray paint (the colors of Ukraine).
