Google is reportedly experimenting with an AI-based program in hospitals. This was announced by the Wall Street Journal, which explains that it is a chatbot called Med-PaLM 2, which is allegedly being tested in American research centers Mayo Clinic.
This app would be especially useful in countries with limited access to doctors; Med-PaLM 2 is being trained by a panel of medical experts and therefore should provide more complete and reliable results than other AI-based but universal tools. The technological foundation will be PaLM 2 and the language model, which is also the base for Google Bard, generative artificial intelligence and machine learning tool.
Therefore, this software will be able to answer medical questions with an accuracy that is currently being improved. The experiment was supposed to start back in April.
