At the conclusion of the trip, which began on November 8, Prabowo was received for talks by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates. During the talks in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders agreed to strengthen political, economic, and trade relations between the two countries within the framework of strategic cooperation in critical sectors ranging from energy to climate change, defense and international security.

The stop in the United Arab Emirates was preceded by Prabowo’s meetings in China with President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang; in the United States with outgoing President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and CIA Director William Burns.

After the USA, the Indonesian president traveled to Latin America, where in Peru he attended the Asia-Pacific Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Week, met with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, and held talks with Vietnamese President Luong Cuong and with Prime Ministers Anthony Albanese of Australia, Justin Trudeau of Canada, and Christopher Luxon of New Zealand. After a stopover in Lima, the Indonesian president traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to attend the G20 summit, and on the margins of the summit held talks with UN Secretary General António Guterres, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and French President Emmanuel Macron. Finally, in the United Kingdom, Prabowo was received by King Charles III and Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The visit to Abu Dhabi and the agreements reached with the Emirati president completed the Indonesian president’s maxi-tour.
