Israel “Disarms” Syria with Carpet Bombings

With hundreds of missile attacks and intense bombardments, the Jewish State leveled weapons, military equipment, and warships of Bashar al-Assad's former Syrian army

Since the occupation of the Golan Heights, proclaimed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be an integral part of Israel’s territory for all eternity, the Jewish State Defense Force – through intense missile fire and bombardment – has virtually destroyed the bulk of the former Syrian army’s military capabilities. This was to prevent jihadist rebels and other radical Islamic armed groups who came to power in Damascus from “taking it over.”

As Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tanks continue to advance toward the Syrian capital, the military spokesman reported that “more than 350 bombing raids have been carried out across Syria in the past 48 hours, leveling hundreds of military targets, including weapons depots, production plants, radars, warehouses, missile depots.”

One of the most intense Israeli attacks took place in the port city of Latakia, where Israel destroyed some fifteen warships that made up almost the entire already limited Syrian fleet. As the Tel Aviv newspapers wrote, “whoever governs Syria in the future will not have a navy for many years to come.”

Hangars where numerous Syrian military fighter jets and helicopters were parked got completely destroyed. In a matter of days, Israel virtually “disarmed” Syria, turning more than 80% of its weapons and heavy military equipment, from missile launchers to aircraft, tanks, and armored vehicles, into rubble. Prime Minister Netanyahu took responsibility for this unprecedented attack that cost the lives of many people on the ground: “I approved the bombing of strategic military facilities left in the Syrian army to prevent them from falling into the hands of jihadists.” Netanyahu said this on Tuesday night, emphasizing that “we have no intention of interfering in Syria’s internal affairs, but we want to do everything we can to ensure our security.”
