Kamala Harris Continues to Soar in Polls

The vice president is leading nationally, while seven swing states have candidates breathing down each other's necks

Kamala Harris continues to outpace Donald Trump in public opinion polls. According to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll, the Democratic candidate received 48% of the vote compared to 43% for the former president. However, the gap in the Reuters/Ipsos poll is less clear and shows 4 points: 45% for Harris and 41% for Trump.

The current US vice president, who recently accepted the Democratic Party nomination to replace Joe Biden, also seems to be growing in the seven swing states that are crucial to the ultimate victory and where the duel is toughest. According to the Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll, Harris is ahead of Trump by two points in swing states among registered voters and by one point among “likely” voters.

Another poll by Emerson College Polling and Hill shows Harris beating Trump in Georgia (49% vs. 48%), Michigan (50% vs. 47%), and Nevada (49% vs. 48%), while Trump leads in Arizona (50% vs. 47%), North Carolina (49% vs. 48%), and Wisconsin (49% vs. 48%), and finally there will be a tie in Pennsylvania (48% for each of the two candidates).
