German company Skyhansa will build a new international airport in Kazakhstan
On the sidelines of the Business Forum between Kazakhstan and Germany, which was held in the Kazakh capital Astana on the occasion of the visit of Chancellor Olaf Scholz of the Federal Republic of Germany, a solemn ceremony was held to exchange 12 agreements and memorandums of understanding designed to deepen strategic cooperation between Germany and the largest of the five former Soviet republics of Central Asia.
During Scholz’s visit, 23 documents were signed between various government agencies, business associations, and companies of Kazakhstan and Germany. The list of documents signed in the presence of Scholz and Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev included several agreements and memorandums of understanding, particularly between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the German company Svevind Energy for research related to the production of “green” hydrogen.
In addition, Siemens and the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation in innovation and aerospace industry. Finally, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport reached an agreement with the German group Skyhansa to build a new international airport.
