President of Russia: “We hope Harris won't want to impose as many sanctions as Trump has imposed,” he said
Former US President Donald Trump once imposed a huge number of sanctions against Russia, and now Moscow is hoping that Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris will refrain from imposing new restrictive measures. Responding at a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok to a question about the upcoming US presidential election, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that for the Kremlin the preferred candidate was Joe Biden, who after being “excluded from the election race, asked everyone to support the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris.”
According to Putin, Harris laughs so often and so heartily that you realize that all is well in her life: “Trump has imposed as many restrictions and sanctions against Russia as no president before him. If Ms. Harris is doing well, perhaps she will refrain from actions of this kind,” Putin said with a touch of irony, adding that “ultimately the choice will be up to the American people, and we will treat that choice with respect. It’s not for Russia to pick a favorite in the US presidential race.”
According to the latest public opinion polls, Trump always finds himself behind Harris. To boost Trump’s campaign, former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his intention to attend Donald Trump rallies in key states ahead of the November election. Kennedy, who late last month suspended his bid for the White House and declared his support for Republican nominee Trump, intends to personally attend the Republican nominee’s campaign events in states like Wisconsin and Michigan, where “judges have rejected a request to remove Kennedy’s name from the ballot so as not to impede Trump’s candidacy.”
In an interview with NewsNation, Kennedy emphasized Trump’s focus on the serious deterioration of public health in the USA: “We’re planning a ‘Make America Healthy Again’ tour that will take us to almost all of these states,” Kennedy said.
Meanwhile, Trump unexpectedly received the support of the entire family of Tim Walz, the US Democratic vice-presidential candidate: his relatives, led by his older brother Jeff Walz, were photographed wearing official campaign T-shirts with the image of Trump, who thanked the Walz family for their support in his Truth social network: “Thank you, really, Jeff. It is a Great Honor to have your Endorsement. I look forward to meeting you soon!” Trump wrote.
