Investment cooperation program approved
The winning combination of Russia’s scientific potential and China’s production capabilities will allow the two countries to achieve highly successful economic results. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during talks in Moscow with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang that the two countries “intend to expand exchanges in knowledge-intensive industries, such as space, finite technology, and artificial intelligence.”
Following the 29th meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, dedicated to the comprehensive development of cooperation between the two countries, Mishustin and Premier Li signed a package of documents concerning strategic partnership in various sectors. Among the signed documents is an investment cooperation plan. In addition, the Russian and Chinese transport ministers signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting the use of “highly automated vehicles in cross-border cargo transportation and cooperation in maritime search and rescue.” In addition, the ministries of industry of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the chemical industry. The Ministries of Housing Construction of Russia and China signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in the field of “green” construction. The Russian Institute for Nuclear Research and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China have concluded an agreement on joint funding of research projects.
