A Russian air defense system shot down five US ATACMS missiles and damaged a sixth that fell on a military base in the Russian region of Bryansk
While the USA continues to make no comment on outgoing President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to use US long-range missiles against Russian territory, on the night of November 18-19, the UAF attacked Bryansk using six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, “at 03:25, the enemy attempted to strike an area in Russia’s Bryansk region.” Russia’s S-400 and Pantsir surface-to-air missile systems shot down five missiles and damaged a sixth, fragments of which fell near military infrastructure, causing a fire that was promptly extinguished. The ministry emphasized that the attack “did not cause damage or casualties.”
Following the US decision to send long-range АТАCМS missiles to Ukraine, the UK is and France will also be ready to supply Kiev with Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles respectively for striking deep into Russian territories. The French SCALP Storm Shadow modified missiles with a range of 550-560 kilometers will allow Kiev to hit logistics bases, fuel depots, and other strategic facilities on Russian territory, reaching as far as Moscow, Russia’s capital.
