Tel Aviv: 500,000 People Take to the Streets Calling for Truce

Another protest against the Israeli government

Half a million demonstrators took to the streets of Tel Aviv, Israel, to protest against the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The crowd is demanding that Israeli politicians reach a truce and the release of hostages still held by Hamas after the October 7, 2023 offensive.

But protests broke out across the country, with tens of thousands taking to the streets in Jerusalem, where they also gathered in front of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s home, as well as in Haifa, Kfar Saba… Protests, according to Israeli media reports, were also in smaller cities, such as Be’er Sheva, Netanya, and Rishon Le-Zion. As the Italian AGI news agency reported, former Israeli army chief of staff Moshe Yaalon also took to the streets of Rehovot, carrying a placard that read: “Until they come home, we are on the street.”
