Ukraine: 48% of Citizens in Favor of Ceding Territories to Russia
The number is constantly increasing
While the Russian army is rapidly advancing towards the western borders of the Donbass territory, the number of Ukrainian citizens who favor the idea of ceding part of the territories to Russia in order to conclude a peace agreement as soon as possible is constantly growing. By October 2024, that number has risen to 48 percent.
According to the results of a previous opinion poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, between May 2022 and May 2023, about 87% of Ukrainians were categorically opposed to any compromise on territories.
Since last June, the share of people against the idea of handing over territories to Russia began to decline, reaching 55% in May 2024.
