Lethal and inhumane weapons are supposed to “stop Russia's offensive”
Outgoing US President Joe Biden “approved the delivery of a significant number of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine.” This was stated by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, according to whom “a radical solution should help slow down the rapid advance of the Russian Armed Forces into eastern Ukraine,” especially if the mines are used “along with other munitions coming from the USA.”
According to a White House source quoted by the Washinton Post, the US government decided to send the mines to Kiev because it was “concerned about the offensive by Russian forces in recent weeks” and in light of “the need to stop their advance.”
In recent days, sources close to Biden said the US president “gave Kiev permission to strike deep into Russian Federation territory with long-range American ATACMS missiles.”
Moscow condemned Biden’s latest and dangerous decisions. Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured) has responded to Ukraine firing US missiles at Russian territory by saying that “the use of US missiles is an act of violence.” Putin also “lowered the threshold for a Russian nuclear attack in response to a wide range of attacks, including conventional attacks, accusing the West of wanting to escalate the conflict.” Also specifying that Moscow “regards the launch of missiles by NATO countries on its territory as an attack,” he promised a “consistent response from Russia.”
