USA, Biden Questioned Over Secret Documents Found In Delaware

US President Joe Biden was questioned in connection with the ongoing investigation into classified documents, which he kept at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, and at the offices of an affiliated Washington think tank. The documents date from 2009 to 2017, when Biden served as vice president.

According to White House legal services representative Ian Sams, Biden’s questioning was voluntary, lasted two days, and ended on October 9. The President and the Administration “are cooperating and, if necessary, we will publicly provide appropriate updates to be as transparent as possible and consistent with maintaining the integrity of the investigation,” Sams further explained.

Biden reportedly said he was surprised by the discovery of the “sensitive” material in his home, expressing confidence that this material would ultimately be ruled unrelated to the case. Regardless, the embarrassment of the White House is understandable, if only because the story is very reminiscent of the story with secret documents found at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida – a fact for which the tycoon was officially investigated.
