USA, CNN Poll: Trump Ahead Of Biden

One year before the presidential election (November 5, 2024), Donald Trump is leading Joe Biden in the polls. A few days ago, The New York Times newspaper reported about an analysis conducted in conjunction with the Siena Research Institute that showed the mogul leading in 5 of 6 “key states” (Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, with only Wisconsin leaning toward the Democratic candidate).

Now comes a CNN/SSRS poll of registered voters that shows former President Donald Trump leading Biden 49% to 45%. “The new poll reveals deep public discontent with Biden’s job performance at a time when his economic optimism is failing to connect with a disgruntled nation weary of high prices,” the CNN article wrote. “The survey exposes cracks in Biden’s multiethnic Democratic coalition and a lack of confidence in his leadership in a war-torn world.”

The poll shows that only a quarter of Americans believe Biden has the stamina and mental acuity needed to serve as president and that 51% would never vote for him, compared to 48% who would never vote for Trump. Among voters under 35 years of age, 48% support Trump and 47% support Biden; Republicans also “win” among independent voters: 45% would vote for Trump, and 41% for Biden.
