The Israeli army’s military offensive continues no matter what. That is, in spite of… nothing. UN ceasefire resolutions are blocked by US veto. Sanctions against Netanyahu are only hypothetical. The unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by some European governments is still on paper. An embarrassed Biden remains inert. In the meantime, views and interests in Europe are united in the name of militarism, which seemed to have been buried by history. According to Pablo Iglesias, it will become clear after the June elections whether the left is still capable of resisting dangerous drifts. And from what’s left of Global Britain, Donald Sassoon’s incisive pen informs us of the return to government of Cameron, one of Britain’s most criticized prime ministers.
